Rue Magazine

Happy December, darlings! I hope all is well as the holiday season settles in! With an entire month of gloriously un-studious time just around the corner, I should have more than enough time to work on all the crafty projects I've been dreaming up in my head. Any plans for the holidays, dear readers?

Speaking of the holiday season, Rue Magazine just came out with their latest issue, and it does not disappoint. (Well, when have they ever disappointed?) Perusing through all the lovely pages has inspired me to think about redesigning my room (possible room makeover project?) and has definitely put me in the cheeriest of moods-- which is especially wonderful for the last few days of finals week! And check out this video they made; I'm sure you won't be able to resist a smile. :)

Mademoiselle Denamur

Anyone who knows me would swear that I am completely French, despite my Asian heritage. It's quite true, really. I surrender myself completely to anything and everything that invariably relates to France: music, food, fashion, film, interior design... you name it. Three years ago, I fell in love with French music, and it all started with Claire Denamur. This lovely mademoiselle creates the most wonderful music composed with absolutely charming lyrics, and I am wonderfully thrilled to know that her newest album will be released on September 19! I can hardly wait! I leave you now with the two songs that started my love affair with la musique française. Tell me, do you fancy them?

Ballet, si belle.

I used to dance ballet when I was younger, and I've always had a love of the grace and elegance of the movement in this dance. Do you not love the soft colors of these photographs? Ditte Isager certainly has captured something quite beautiful in this shoot featuring ballet-inspired wedding gowns. Gorgeous!

Do you ever have those mornings when you wake up, and you just know that it's going to be a good day? The sun is peeking through my window, and I smell flowers and summer in the air... Nothing can bring me down today.

I consider this frenzy to be quite fine indeed.

Yes, folks. You see before you the one and only Alison Sudol. For those of you who do not know her, she is the voice and pianist behind the lovely music of A Fine Frenzy. Yes, Alison has been one of my muses for quite some time now; she is stunningly beautiful (redhead or not) and her music makes my heart sing! Not to mention, I adore her fashion oh-so much. I've included a little stop-motion video she made for her song "Lost Things," just so you can fall in love with her, too.

A Chalk Affair

Found via Twig & Thistle

How fabulous are these chalk illustrations done by Dana Tanamachi? I am still blown away by the fact that they were done completely by hand-- in other words, no stencils, no rulers! Incredible? I think yes.

Silent Sundays

As a huge fan of Rhiannon Leifheit of Liebemarlene Vintage, I was delighted to hear that she collaborated with a friend and opened their very own online shop, Silent Sundays. The store sells both new and vintage items, which include the clothing lines Family Affairs and Secret Squirrel. I have to say, though, I absolutely love their lookbook! The clothes look so dreamy, and the model has such a fresh face and is delightfully pretty. Not to mention, I would love to know where the shots were taken! Such a lovely place...

Paper Wheels

In September, I get to move into my very first apartment! It is very exciting, and I am already dreaming up decoration ideas. Luckily, the blog world is filled-to-the-brim with fantastic DIY projects, such as this paper wheel project I found on Ruffled. The idea actually came from a handmade wedding in Texas, which you can check out here. Isn't it just the prettiest thing? This paper art adds so much dimension and interest to plain walls... and it's completely doable! You can view the complete how-to here. I'm thinking this project is an absolute must for my new bedroom in the fall... Tell me, do you have any good ideas for easy bedroom decor?
